Sig Assign

Provide a 1,600-word detailed, four part, statistical report with the following sections:

  • Part 1 – Preliminary Analysis
  • Part 2 – Examination of Descriptive Statistics
  • Part 3 – Examination of Inferential Statistics
  • Part 4 – Conclusion/Recommendations

Part 1 – Preliminary Analysis

Generally, as a statistics consultant, you will be given a problem and data. At times, you may have to gather additional data. For this assignment, assume all the data is already gathered for you.

State the objective:

  • What are the questions you are trying to address?

Describe the population in the study clearly and in sufficient detail:

  • What is the sample?

Discuss the types of data and variables:

  • Are the data quantitative or qualitative?
  • What are levels of measurement for the data?

Part 2 – Descriptive Statistics

Examine the given data.

Present the descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, range, standard deviation, variance, CV, and five-number summary).

Identify any outliers in the data.

Present any graphs or charts you think are appropriate for the data.

Note: Ideally, we want to assess the conditions of normality too. However, for the purpose of this exercise, assume data is drawn from normal populations.

Part 3 – Inferential Statistics

Use the Part 3: Inferential Statistics document.

  • Create (formulate) hypotheses
  • Run formal hypothesis tests
  • Make decisions. Your decisions should be stated in non-technical terms.

Hint: A final conclusion saying “reject the null hypothesis” by itself without explanation is basically worthless to those who hired you. Similarly, stating the conclusion is false or rejected is not sufficient.

Part 4 – Conclusion and Recommendations

Include the following:

  • What are your conclusions?
  • What do you infer from the statistical analysis?
  • State the interpretations in non-technical terms. What information might lead to a different conclusion?
  • Are there any variables missing?
  • What additional information would be valuable to help draw a more certain conclusion?

Format your assignment consistent with APA format.

Discussion

Unlike most animated films that have been cartoons for children and families, Grave of Fireflies touched on more serious themes and had moments that moved some audience members to tears. Identify and give examples of the representations in the film that you consider this anime is different from cartoon.

rewrite the story of my shop

It all started back in 2016 when my sister was pregnant with her first baby; A girl named Mia. I helped her organized her gender reveal and eventually her baby shower. A cinderella themed baby shower. So I started working on things to decorate for the occasion, made signs, beautiful pumpkins, centerpieces that eventually gave me the idea of opening my shop.

I was working full time at a telecommunication company for 10 years and tired of the retail hours, working at random hours ; and always having to miss a family birthday or a holiday event was always the down side of working in retail. single with no kids was not that bad but I knew that eventually one day I was going to have my little family and my wish was to work from home to be able to be with my child as much as possible. So thinking of the future.

I created my business and open an etsy shop to start selling from there.  I started selling decorations for baby showers and kids birthdays and saw that I wasnt getting much traffic; so from there I moved to bachelorette/ wedding favors and decorations and I finally saw my business growing. the first year I did almost nothing but that didnt discourage me to stop; on the contrary, I worked harder. 2017 was huge for my business because it grew so much that i barely had any time left between the two jobs. Oh little Mia was no longer a hobbie, it was becoming my main job. In 2018 I went from working full time at the telecommunication company to working part time, only 20 hours a week. Finally in early 2019 I made the decision of leaving. ( 12 years and great benefits).  All to pursue my dream of having my own business, and be the owner of my own time.

Human Development-Application of Theory

Create a PowerPoint (1214 slides) to present your application of developmental theory to a case study that you have selected and analyzed.

Psychology professionals, such as caseworkers and therapists, often think in terms of human development when assessing problems that individuals, couples, or families bring to them. A caseworker, therapist, or other psychology professionals may take notes to document the situation and make interpretations and recommendations. This assessment will give you the opportunity to apply developmental theories in a hypothetical clinical setting while imagining yourself in one of these roles.

Learn about a famous developmental experiment and look at some of the major theories of human development in the following media pieces:
Human Development Theories.
Piaget’s Conservation Test.

Preparation

Launch and explore the following multimedia piece. After you have reviewed the two case studies, select one to analyze, either Thomas or Imani.
Human Development Case Studies

Case Study 1

Emilio is an 18-year-old senior in high school. It is the end of the school year, and after feeling excited to graduate most of this past year, lately he is not sure he is ready to leave high school. He has been feeling more irritable than usual and has been especially grouchy with his family. Everything his parents tell him annoys him.

He misses his girlfriend, who recently broke up with him. He is supposed to be leaving for college in August, but he is feeling nervous about it. Before, he was convinced he wanted to go into engineering, but now he is not so sure. He feels pressure to go to college, but right now all he wants to do is stay in the area and get a job and an apartment so he can hang out with his friends who are not going away to college.

Sometimes he is so frustrated he feels the urge to break things. A few days ago when no one else was home, he punched the doorframe of his bedroom.
Next, imagine that you are a caseworker or any other psychology professional gathering information from a client represented by either Thomas or Imani. Based on the information presented, consider the developmental challenges the person is facing. Then identify at least two developmental theories (such as attachment, cognitive development, moral development, psychosocial development, et cetera), and apply the theories to understand the person in the scenario.
While it is not possible to fully understand the person in the scenario based on the limited information provided, there are a number of developmental theories that can provide context and offer a possible framework for understanding the person’s attitudes and behaviors.

Case Study 2
Brenda is 43 years old and wants to make some life changes. She is unhappy with her career in marketing and with her relationship status. She was divorced five years ago from Robert, whom she met during her senior year of college. They had delayed marriage until after Robert finished medical school, and were married when Brenda was 27. They had discussed having children, but Robert never felt that the time was right.

Even though Brenda feels alone, she is not comfortable dating. She would like to go back to school, but is not sure what career she is interested in. Plus, she has been spending a great deal of time taking care of her aging mother, with whom she has had a strained relationship over the years.

Lately, she has been thinking something is wrong with her. The kind of identity issues she is facing seem more typical of a teenager, not a 43-year-old woman. She is beginning to withdraw and to feel lonely. She feels like she has failed compared to acquaintances who are married, have children, and seem to be enjoying their careers.

Instructions

Based on the scenario and theories you chose for this assessment, create a PowerPoint presentation (1214 slides) using the Assessment 2 Template [PPTX], in which you complete the following:

Give a brief overview of the chosen scenario in your own words.
Provide an overview of the theories you have selected to apply to the scenario.
Describe the stage or stages of the theory that are most applicable to the current phase of life of the person discussed in the case study. Describe in some details the stage of life according to the theory. (For example, in Erikson’s psychosocial development theory a child who is 4 years old is in the stage of “initiative versus guilt.”)
Search the library for at least two scholarly (peer-reviewed) articles that provide research about the concerns faced by the person in the chosen case study.
Describe how the research from the articles applies to the person in the scenario you selected.
Apply the theories to describe how they help us to better understand this particular person at the current point of life based on the concerns and their impact on the person’s well-being.
Your presentation should include the following:

Critical Thinking

Compare different critical thinking models, and share your understanding of synthesis. Become familiar with different critical thinking models, and understand why critical thinking is so important. Analyze the resources you found for your Annotated Bibliography to find themes and synthesize those resources into a cohesive review.

In this week’s discussion, you will compare and contrast different models of critical thinking and provide examples

Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is the foundation of many skills in the field of psychology. In this course, you will need these skills for this week’s discussion and both of your remaining assignments. Explore definitions and strategies for critical thinking in psychology by completing the following:

  • Facione, P. A. (2015). . Retrieved from http://www.insightassessment.com/pdf_files/what&why2006.pdf
    • Provides a simple definition and examples of critical thinking in everyday situations.
  • Read and complete the self-assessment to determine how you apply critical thinking in your life.
  • Granello, D. H. (2001) . Counselor Education & Supervision, 40(4), 292307.
    • This article contains strategies for improving the complexity of your thinking and writing in the field of psychology.
  • Read and spend some time reviewing Paul and Elder’s elements of thought.
    • Think about how you might apply them to your own thinking, to your peers’ writing, and to scholarly articles.
  • Foundation for Critical Thinking. (2007).  Available from http://www.criticalthinking.org/
  • View Bloom’s Taxonomy. This media presentation provides an introduction to the model and its use in practice.

What did you learn about this week that grabbed your attention or caused you to think more deeply about it? In previous weeks, you located and evaluated high-quality research to support your practice in the field of psychology. This week, you added critical thinking tools to your repertoire to further critique research and its relevance to research questions and practice. You were introduced to the following models that support critical thinking:

  • .
  • Facione’s
  • Paul and Elder’s elements of thought from .

For this discussion:

  • What interested you about these theories?
  • How do they play a role in your personal or professional life?
  • How do you see them applied in the world around you or in current events?
  • How could you imagine using each model as a practitioner-scholar working in your specialization?

If you have any trouble understanding these models or the strategies in the article, , use this discussion to receive support from your peers and instructor to work through your challenges.

In accordance with the requirements of the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences for GE courses, a formal writing assignment is required, which for our course will be in the form of a concert report. The concert attended may be of any genre, and may be either a live or recorded event. Students are encouraged to seek out genres with which they are less familiar. The focal-point of the event must be listeningto the music, i.e. not background entertainment at a pub or restaurant.

Movie Review

Hong Kong cinema is more than martial arts and action.  The second part of the course examines dramas of love, fantasy, journey, and self-discovery in Hong Kong cinema.  Characters in these films seem to harbor a big dream: a Hong Kong dream, a California dream, or a New York dream.  With the passage of time, they attempt to create new identities for themselves: be a different person, go to a new place, enter a relationship, or feel nostalgia for the past.  Discuss the ways in which these characters change, pursue dreams, cherish old relationships, or search for new identities

In your analysis, you should refer to at least three films by different directors.  Please also briefly comment on the stylistic characteristics of each of the directors.

At the end of this part of the paper, please indicate the source, manner, place, and time of viewing the films that you have selected for analysis and discussion.

Analyzing And Visualizing Data

Composition deals with the overall readability and meaning of the project.  As noted by Kirk (2016), the topic of composition is divided into project-level and chart-level options.  Use only the figures listed below from the book companion site.  Do not use any figure from the text.  Visit the book companion site and only select two figures from the list provided.

For the two figures, include the figure number and the title from the book companion site.

Provide the responses to the following for each figure separately.  List the figure number and title and the responses to each item listed below.  Then, list the second figure number and title and the response to each item listed below.

1.         How are the choices and deployment of these composition properties suitable to the figure?  Why do these choices work for this figure?  What are some changes you think would enhance the visual?

2.         Provide a different visual design choice for the figure and describe the reasons for the new composition.  Provide pros and cons to the new design choices.
