Abdullah is a 45-year-old engineer, he weighs 95kg and his height is 175cm. He has been working with the same company for 15 years. Abdullah has a sedentary lifestyle. Recently, Abdullah has had a hard time sleeping. He wakes up many times during the night unable to breathe. He often gets up and walks around outside in the dark. He also gets up at night to drink coffee and has tried sleeping pills, but to no help. Because of his getting up at night he sometimes falls asleep during the day and does not fully function at his job. because his performance is dropping, Abdullah feels his job is at threat. Abdullah knows, it would be helpful if his sleep was more regular, so he visits a general doctor to find out what he can do.
Assess his health status, what could be the reasons for his sleeping problems, what are the behaviors that need to be changed, what health promotion actions would help?
