Civil Rights Movement in America

The focal point of the term paper will be Civil Rights. I will be focusing specifically on individuals whom performed instrumental roles in fighting for equality in America for minorities during the Civil rights movement, and key historic events that trademarked the history of our country during that time. Examples included but ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Martin Luther King Jr., Medgar Evans, Rosa Parks, The Million Man March, Brown v. Board of Education, etc. provide information on how the accomplishments of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s improved the economic conditions of African Americans, encouraged economic growth and helped advance democracy within our society. The research should be relevant to our course because it will explore in depth the labor, religious groups, and black organizations that supported the movement that helped it to be effective, and how in present day America, modern day minority organizations continue to fight for equality within the community.

The final Term Paper should be at least six pages of fully-typed text, with each page double-spaced, including at least 250 words and 25-27 lines using Times Roman, 12 point font. It should include a title page, end notes pages, and bibliography page. It should be formatted using the Chicago Manual of Style, as referenced in the Rampolla text.
