As the social and demographic trends continue to evolve so do the opportunities afforded to Electrolux. The most significant demographic shift globally is the growing middle class in Asia, which includes families with incomes between US$6,000 and US$30,000. It is estimated that by 2030 there will be 3 billion more people in the global middle class than there were in 2013.(Ernst & Young, 2013)

Correlated with rising incomes worldwide, homeownership has also increased at a substantial rate giving rise to increased demand for consumer durables such as refrigerators, washing machines, and dishwashers. (Electrolux, 2013)

Aristotelian Analysis paper (ethos, pathos, logos)

Additional Information:

Your paper should:
Show that you have read through AND watched Barbara Jordans keynote address at the 1976 Democratic National Convention
Outline Aristotles three rhetorical appeals (ethos, pathos, and logos) in your own words
Examine and evaluate Jordans speech at length through the use of this rhetorical perspective.

Paper Organization:
In total, the first portion of the paper will provide introductory information about the speech such as a summary of what was covered, the political climate at the time of the speech, and some background on Jordan (1/4 of the paper)
The second portion will present the rhetorical theory in your own words (i.e. What is ethos? What is pathos? What is logos?) (1/4 of the paper)
The final portion will involve you critiquing the speech using the theory (i.e. How does Jordan use ethos? How does Jordan use pathos? How does Jordan use logos?) (1/2 of the paper)

Paper Requirements:
The paper should be 4-5 pages in length, use 1 margins all around, be written in 12-point Times New Roman font, and be double-spaced. Any citations should use APA format and the paper itself should include a References page at the end of the paper (this is not included as part of the 4-5 page requirement). No cover page or abstract, please. Lets save some paper.

To acquaint yourself with APA formatting, please see Purdue Universitys APA Style Guide overview.  (Links to an external site.) It is a great resource and easy to navigate. If you have not used it before, the site has other style guides (ex. MLA, Chicago) that may be helpful in other classes.

CASE STUDY ESSAY

For each week the student must go through the theory of the assigned chapter and prepare the case that involves the theory covered and the related software application. The student must submit a one page report with the main results of the simulation. The objective of this report is to ensure that the student went through the chapter and the software before coming to class. The write-ups are due at the beginning of each class. Most cases have assigned questions which must be answered. If no questions are listed, you need to identify the main issues in the case, analyze them and provide defensible recommendations Make sure that your answers are to the point and precise. Write-ups will not be accepted after the class under any circumstances; so please plan the case write-ups well ahead of time.Format: Write-ups should be double-spaced, with adequate top, bottom, and side margins. Reports should be about 5 pages long.  You  can  have  an  appendix  with  figures, tables,  and  excel  sheets  of  analysis.I recommend you use the following case analysis framework that consists of four major components: define the problems that company faced, present the alternative solutions, discuss the critical issues bearing on the choice of alternative, and conclude with your selection.1. Problem definition: In this part, you may discuss, first, the companys goals, which are a set of objectives the management hopes to achieve. Second, you may discuss the difficulty (obstacles) that prevented the firm from achieving the goals. In the cases where you can identify man distinct problems you may focus on the most important ones, and the ones that the case provide sufficient information for your analysis.2. Alternatives: In this part, you present a list of best alternative, NOT all alternatives.
The alternatives are competing approaches that are significantly different from each other. The alternatives should be as fully specified in order to be adequately evaluated. This requires you to think through all aspects of each alternative. No more than 4 alternatives for meaningful discussions.  You  may  consider  using  labels  for  each  of  your  alternatives  (e.g.  McFord designing  Ford service outlets like McDonalds, which is fast and convenient.). Avoid (a) the wait for more research type of alternative; (b) alternatives that have littleinformation in the case (you then need to rely on wild guesses).3.  Critical  issues:  This  part  evaluates  the  causal  factors  affecting  alternative success.  Presumably  each critical issue can illuminate a crucial factor for analysis. For example: How motivated were the orthodontists in promoting Invisalign over regular braces? The answer to the critical issues should help you develop the proposed solution.4. Conclusion: This part integrates your answers to the critical issues, building on each to show how one alternative is better than another (or all others). Numerical analysis that can support your arguments can be invaluable. When financial data are available, you may create pro-forma profit and loss statements for each alternative. In general, a good conclusion reviews each of the alternatives presented, weighs each against the others, and identifies the key reasons for choice.

Compare and Contrast essay about 2 poems

Take two poems about youth and age (from Youth Poem, Youth Poems, Gus the Theatre Cat–which is from the Cats musical–Prufrock) and write a compare and contrast essay considering them on a few points. A decent thesis would be as follows:

Gus the Theatre Cat and J. Alfred Prufrock each feel old. but the point of view, tone, and imagery cast Gus as satisfied and Prufrock overwhelmingly not, for a far more tragic poem.

At least 2 pages, long enough to do a strong analysis
Here is the link to the two poems I’ve chosen:

Frontline workers are required to be immunized for influenza and potentially other contagious diseases. Where does this requirement come from and how does the state regulation ensure compliance?

Hello Class,

Let me try to give you an example to help with Assignment 3’s ask, due this week:
Let’s say your chosen STATE LAW/REGULATION (remember it needs to be a state law/regulation addressing your topic, not a program) has 30 parts/aspects (a part/aspect does not have to be a formal “part” in terms of a distinct section).  You could choose all 5 parts/aspects within one section of the law, if comprehensive and distinct enough to analyze separately. You can chose any 5 parts/aspects/sections (focus on the content – one part of the overall regulation may address definitions, another funding, another requirements, another different requirements, another reporting, another penalties, etc.) you want.  For ALL FIVE of those parts/aspects/sections, you need to analyze how EACH part/aspect impacts insurers, health care professionals, health provider organizations (hospitals, doctor office, etc.) AND/OR health product developers.  So every section may not impact each of those stakeholders, but if they do, you must describe the impact on each.
Note that you need to highlight the actual regulation, either in Word using highlight font, or by printing out the regulation and physically using a highlighter, then scanning and submitting via PDF.  You can submit one or two attachments for your submission.

Please remember this should be in paper format, NOT in the table like the first two assignments.  I highly recommend using headers to break up the text into logical sections.

Select a state regulation from MARYLAND. Prepare an annotated copy of the regulation, including the sections you reviewed to answer the questions in the following format:

Prepare a three (3) to four (4) page written response addressing all information in the following table. Text must be double spaced. Also include a cover page and a reference page in APA Format (these do not count toward the page limit). Review the bolded text in the Class Guidelines section of the syllabus above for formatting requirements.

Highlight five (5) notable parts of the regulation. For each of the parts, describe how the patient, provider, product developer, health care organization and/or payer may be impacted. Remember to write in narrative format except for titles. No more than 15% of direct quotes or paraphrasing are permitted in the document. Use citations and attach the notated regulation. In Week Five, you need to sign up for a topic in the Assignment Three Topic Selection folder in LEO. Unless the professor reaches out to you directly, your chosen topic is approved. Note a maximum of five (5) students may select the same topic.

Ideology of Nationalism

This course has addressed the origins of the ideology of nationalism as it emerged at the time of the French Revolution, spread to other states during the age of democratic revolutions and was then embraced by colonized peoples who sought independence from colonial rule. Trace the history of nationalism and its relationship to capitalist expansion, imperialism, and independence. When has nationalism been a force for good? When has it led to oppression and conflict? What other forms of social identities have competed with nationalism? What forces associated with globalization have challenged the notion of the national self-determination of all peoples?

compare and contrast

You must write 1 essay about 2-3 pages in length . You must write your answer in the space provided for the essay question OR you can upload your essay as an attachment.  What I am looking for in your essay answers is a 5 paragraph essay format.  I want you to support your statements with specific examples from the play.  I want to know your opinion about the plays you are writing about, so think critically.  If yo uwant to use quotes, teh only quotes you should use are from the plays. I copied a paper outline that you SHOULD use as a model when writing the essay.  This outline breaks down what a 5 paragraph essay looks like. Italicize the titles of the plays when writing about them, so Oedipus The King and Hamlet.

Essay Question: Compare and Contrast the characters of Jocasta (Oedipus The King) and Gertrude (Hamlet). Support your thesis with at least three examples (at least one per supporting paragraph) of they are similar or how they are different. It is okay if you you think at times they are similar and at times they are different, just be clear with how and back your points up with an explanation.  Again, the only quotes you need to use are from the play, but keep them short.  I am more interested in your analysis than quotes.  Use them if desired, just as support. 2-3 pages.

Paper Outline

  Introduction:

-Opening paragraph giving an overview of what your paper will be about and the plays you will be analyzing.

–Includes thesis statement, which is the point you want to make about your topic.  For example making your statement about whether or not Gertrude and Jocasta are similar. Or an example of how they are different in regards to relationships, desires, etc…

Supporting Paragraph #1:
-State the first point you will be discussing that supports your thesis.

-Example #1 supporting this statement. (a specific example from the play)

-Example #2 supporting this statement (a specific example from the play)

Supporting Paragraph #2:
-State the second point you will be discussing.

-Example #1 supporting this statement (a specific example from the play)

-Example #2 supporting this statement (a specific example from the play)

Supporting Paragraph #3:
-State the third point you will be discussing.

-Example #1 supporting this statement (a specific example from the play).

-Example #2 supporting this statement (a specific example from the play).

Conclusion:  Reiterate thesis and wrap up.
