Servant Leadership

Instructions

If you could instantly acquire one of the 10 characteristics of servant leaders, identified by Spears (2002), which one would it be and why?
Don’t forget to use in-text citations and list all citations on references page; Spears (2002), must be one of them.

Introduction to national security

The techniques and weapons discussed in this module and chapter certainly have the potential to cause severe damage to an information-dependent military operation.  Unfortunately, America is arguably the most information-dependent society, so we are at a greater risk than any of our enemies.  Write a short reaction essay (2 pages double-spaced, 12 point font) on how do we defend ourselves, then?

Social Networking in a particular workplace

Your assignment is to write a short report on the topic of social networking in a particular workplace. You are welcome to choose a place where you are currently working or a workplace that interests you. Your final product will be more specific, convincing and informative if you have a particular office and industry in mind. You do not need to name the office, but you do need to make it clear what kind of office it is and how large the company is. Depending on what you are writing, it might be necessary to offer additional information.

For this assignment, imagine that youve been asked by your boss to research this topic in general and to write a few paragraphs each on three specific sub-topics, which may include the legal issues involved and the policies of other companies. Your boss has also asked you to include your own recommendations for a company policy on social networking in the workplace, with support from your research.

Your rough draft should have at least three outside sources. You might use company handbooks, interviews, or other related sources. While you wouldn’t use in-text citations and a Works Cited page for a company memo, please do so for the purpose of this assignment.

The report should use the memo format, with the main contents written in paragraphs that are roughly 5 sentences in length. Add an introductory paragraph that sets up the report for your reader and a short concluding paragraph.

Remember to include your recommendations as well as the potential hazards. Your draft should be about six paragraphs long. A typical paragraph is about five sentences long.

In general, your report should be accurate and informative. Think of it as a document that will give clear and helpful information to your boss and to anyone who is asked by your boss to read it, which could include other bosses and your co-workers.

Annotated Bibliography

The Annotated Bibliography is the first step in your literary research paper.  In order to complete the research paper, you must be sure that you can find an adequate number of scholarly sources to support your claims.

In this assignment, you will present your research sources along with annotations to explain their relevance to your project.

The topic and thesis of your project should be listed at the top of the assignment.  You can choose from any of the selections in the Topics for Long Papers category presented in your text on pages 1195-1200.

Then, find at least six scholarly sources that you plan to use as evidence to support your research.  Primary sources (the literary texts themselves) should also be listed in your final works cited page and may be listed here, but they do not count toward your total of six critical sources.

Once you have chosen a topic, find at least six scholarly sources that you plan to use as evidence to support your research.  Primary sources (the literary texts themselves) should also be listed in your final works cited page and may be listed here, but they do not count toward your total of six critical sources.  You need six secondary sources to help you analyze the literary texts that you plan to work with in the assignment.

Here are two resources for formatting your annotated bibliography that should be helpful:

Here is a resource for evaluating sources that should be useful:

Utilize these resources along with the Troy Library to complete your annotated bibliography.  This is a critical step in preparing your final research paper.

Hypothesis and Research Design

Since your hypotheses may serve as your research questions (what you plan to measure/examine), list the questions and then convert them into hypotheses. Research questions must be individual questions that measure only one item (one question = one measurement). A couple of questions are expected in this section (typically 2 to 4). You MUST convert these questions into traditional hypotheses format. For example: If someone grows up in a poor neighborhood, they will be more likely to be involved with crime than someone in a middle or upper-class neighborhood. A hypothesis is a statement and not a question.

Life span

Turn in 3 well defended and well-developed paragraphs (using information you learned in the textbook and class) in response to the following statement from page 284 in the text:

“Ask several parents to explain their style of child rearing, inquiring about acceptance and involvement, control, and autonomy granting. Look, especially, for variations in amount of type of control over children’s behavior along with parents’ rationales.”

Due by 12:30 p.m. on 10/1 in .docx or pdf format and remember to check the box allowing Plagiarism detection.
I will attach the text book attachment where you will have to read page 284.
