Life Changing Event

These are the instructions from my professor. Everything should be listed here. I’ve already started my introductory paragraph and a bit of the second paragraph. Basically I am writing a story about how I rolled my vehicle on I-10 coming from a bar called Giau located on Bellaire Blvd and Beltway 8 in houston texas. I had been drinking that night. Drinking and driving was a very normal thing for me at this point in my life. It was New Years Eve. I knew drinking and driving was dangerous but never stopped because nothing ever happened to me until this experience. I shouldve died or gotten seriously injured but walked away with a few scratches. this experience made me change the way I lived. Stopping drinking and driving became a new years resolution that was extremely successful with. This took place on December 31st 2019/January 1st 2020. 23 years old at the time. Now 24. Paragraphs must follow meal plan

For this essay, you will need to write about one specific experience that changed how you acted, thought, or felt. Use your experience as a springboard for reflection. This narrative essay needs to be about an event that actually happened to you.

Your first goal is to tell an interesting story about this event. Your goal is to tell a good story, so don’t think of this as simply an academic essay. Think of interesting stories you have read during your life. Good stories are entertaining, informative, lively, and believable; they will mean something to those who write them as well as to those who read them.

However, the purpose is not to merely tell an interesting story but to show your readers the importance and influence the experience has had on you.

Any time you render a full account of a personal experience, you answer what is commonly known as “reporter’s questions”–the who, what, where, when, why, and how questions reporters ask themselves to make sure their reports of news stories are complete. Whether your essay is engaging or not depends upon the subject, your interest in telling it, and the skills you use to weave together these story elements.

Your story should be descriptive, using sensory language (touch, smell, sight, sound, and taste) (Links to an external site.) to describe. Narratives include action and details, provide a clear sequence of events, and use dialogue. Describe yourself and other participants in your story in such a way that the details and facts help tell your story. Experiences happen in some place at some time, and good essays describe these settings.

In the personal essay, your main character is yourself, so don’t be afraid to use a first-person perspective and use the word “I.”

The event you choose is up to you, but make sure it’s clear to a reader why the event is important and how it changed you in some way.

I suggest you follow this basic outline:

Introduction: Introduce the topic, assuming the readers do not know the writing prompt. Make sure your introduction grabs the readers’ attention. Use at least one introduction strategy. Invest your readers in the topic. Make them care about it. End the introduction by stating your thesis statement, which should include a forecasting statement (sub-divisions).

Body Paragraphs: Follow the MEAL PLAN (Links to an external site.) for each body paragraph. Use evidence, examples, direct quotations, events, and people to support your paragraphs.

Conclusion: End your piece in a strong and interesting way. Sum up your main argument, but also include a strong conclusion strategy. You might want to predict what the future holds or explain the lasting impact of this event.

Length: Your essay must be at least 1,500 words. Let me be clear this part of the assignment is non-negotiable: papers short of the length requirement will be returned ungraded.

Writing Process: You will complete this assignment in stages. This process is designed to help you; it’s designed to ensure you earn a high grade. If you take the process seriously, you will earn a high grade. If you do not take it seriously, if you skip steps, you will almost certainly earn multiple failing grades – which will jeopardize your chances of passing this class.

Argumentative

argumentative essay using the classical model supported by evidence and research

Remember the word argument does not mean a fight in a writing context. An academic argument is more like a thoughtful conversation between two people with differing viewpoints on a debatable issue. However, you are required to take a position on one side of the issue.

must include an APA style reference page following the essay.  will need 2-4 credible primary or secondary sources to use as support in your essay.

Clint Eastwood

Use either an Alphanumeric Outline, a Decimal Outline, or a sentence hierarchical outline.
The list of resources you expect to use includes website, books and films. This should be in the form of an Annotated Bibliography

give me the basic details of the director’s life and career. Identify some of the director’s most important films. What honors and awards did the director receive? Provide a sampling of critical opinion about the director’s work (i.e. film reviews or articles). View at least two films by your director and comment on them (one of them can be a film you would have watch previously for the class). Do not summarize any plots. Write about how this director used the following in these films: Editing (montage), Sound and Music, Cinematography, Special Camera Work (steady cam, hand held, optical effects), Special Effects (this can include stunt work).

I have attached stage one to this.

abstract painting proposal

Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect. When abstract art does not reference any concept linked to or derived from reality, it is categorized as non-objective art. You will submit a proposal, essay and painting at various points throughout this assignment. DIRECTIONS for each are specified below the deadlines

Homework Questions

I have 4 homework questions that need to answered using the Lesson #3-d, which I have attached to the order. The 4 questions are at the end of the lesson and I will also paste them after these instructions.

1.  Since Paley had never personally witnessed the original cause of thestones appearance in the field he walked across, he has no logical basis for concluding it was caused by natural forces, such as the ice age.  (For example, it could have been caused by anything, such as an alien visit to the planet.)

a) Answer in one word whether this statement is True or False

            b) Explain why you answered a) as you did by applying some of the analyses presented in the Lesson or text.  (A satisfactory answer must use ideas and logic from the Lesson or the text, not just unthought out personal reactions that reflect no study of the ideas.)

2.  In a similar manner to 1.:

Since no one has ever witnessed the so-called designer of the orderly universe, there is no logical basis for concluding there was such a designer.

            a) Answer in one word whether this statement is True or False

            b) Explain why you answered a) as you did by applying some of the analyses presented in the Lesson or text.  (A satisfactory answer must use ideas and logic from the Lesson or the text, not just unthought out personal reactions that reflect no study.)

3.  A.Present a comparison of the similarities between the motion of the planets in our solar system and the motion of the parts of a watch, which Paley finds on the ground.  Paley calls the motion regulated (p.74): look up the meaning of regulated and explain what it means as a way of explaining the motion of both the watch and the planets.

B.Explain how the Laws of Nature, such as Newtons  Law of Gravitation, and the Law of Inertia, can be used to explain what regulated means and how they apply to the example of planetary motion.  (Be specific: look up what the law of gravitation and the law of inertia are, from some internet site, and work them into your answer.)

4.    How does Philo object to the Design Argument by showing that even if the argument had successfully proved the universes motions were caused by an intelligent designer, the argument still did not prove the designer was God?  Be specific and detailed; dont talk in generalities.

know my name: a memoir

students are expected to read “Know My Name” by Chanel Miller and write an academic review of what they have read.  Below is an example of a book review. It is strongly recommended, however, that you look at a number of these to get an idea on how to do them.
