project proposal

As an independent curator, develop an innovative expanded curatorial project and structure your idea into a curatorial planning document. The plan will show how you have considered your curatorial concept and how you will apply the project in a museum/gallery/arts centre or public space. Hypothetically your budget for this exhibition is $50 000, which you have been granted from the partner organisation who is hosting your exhibition.

The Role of Culture

Culture influences the whole person. There are many universals and many culture-specific aspects. This is true for mental processes, behaviors, emotions, language, communication, social relationships, ethics, and many other areas discussed in the textbook. Each person should assess their own lives. People from different cultures view the world differently. Embracing these realities helps people avoid ethnocentrism and even recognize the need and value of diversity. Diversity is not represented by what you see on the outside of a person but whats inside as well. Remember the profound impact culture has on the person you meet.

Assess the role of your culture in your life.

Prepare a 10- to 15-slide Microsoft PowerPoint presentation with speaker notes. Answer the following questions in your presentation:

How does your culture influence your behavior? Provide examples.
How does your culture influence the way you think? Provide examples.
How does your culture influence how you express your emotions? Provide examples.
How does your culture influence your social interactions (family, friends, and co-workers)? Provide examples.
How does your culture influence your view of diversity? Provide examples.
How does your culture influence the manifestation of ethnocentrism in your life? Provide examples.
How does your culture influence your personal and professional ethics? Provide examples.

Note: Slide count does not include title slide. This is an academic presentation at the master’s level. If you have any images of any kind, they must relate to the content and they must have their proper reference, on the images references slide (does not count in the slide count). The background for all slides should be solid white. The font should be solid black. Slides should have a short title, and no more than five bullet points per slide, and no more than five words per bullet point. The speaker notes should provide detail. Do not use quotes in any part of your presentation (not on slides, not on speaker notes).

My outlook is that written grammar should not be the deciding factor for hiring to an extent. Especially if the job is menial and does not require high level of adequate grammar(written).

Good Morning,

You had helped me with part 1 of the assignment, this is part two. I will upload part 1. so you have something to refer to.

Part 2: Literature Review and Research Question
Based on the selected topic, write a literature review, and develop the research question.
Use the works identified in Part 1 – Topic Selection/ Annotated Bibliography to write your

an executive summary that proposes the research plan.

Social Problems

Consider a social problem that you would like to research.

State which social problem you have selected to research.

Next, secure an example of the problem as presented in each of the above sources (an academic journal as a news story or magazine).

For example, you could find an article from the journal Social Problems, then compare this account with any magazine or newspaper article. You are welcome to visit the Hatch Library for your article: http://library.baypath.edu/ (Links to an external site.)

Provide the following as an outline with your response to the topic above:

Summary of research findings of each source.

Methods used in each source.

What differences did you discover between the two types of accounts?

Examine how biased or unbiased each source was in reporting the information.
