Structure of Steroids

We introduced ourselves to a group of lipids called steroids, which have a unique structure involving four fused carbon rings. The functions of steroid hormones rely on the chemical groups attached to those rings & how the body responds to them as a signal.

Research a type of steroid, either natural or synthetic and describe the following:
1. The structure of the steroid, specifically the unique chemical groups (find a picture & insert it into your document, but you must also describe the unique groups with words)
2. The function of the steroid.
3. The discovery or history of the steroid.
4. Its use in medical, pharmaceutical etc.
5. List any side effects that might occur on the human body.

Guidelines:
1. At least 450 words.
2. No introduction, no conclusion, no quotations.
3. Each of the 5 bullets answered, should be used as a heading for paragraphs answering it.
4. Your bibliography must contain at least 4 legitimate sources.
5. Each source must be cited in the paragraphs at the end of the sentence/s they helped you create.
6. The originality report generated by iCollege aka Turnitin cannot show any full lines of copied text.

Cite sources in APA format.
