coral reefs

This assignment was inspired by the New York Times editorial, A World Without Reefs, wherein the author argues that the worlds coral reefs are doomed and it is far too late to do anything about their demise. (See: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/14/opinion/a-world-without-coral-reefs.html.) This controversial article inspired a blog on the New York Times online opinion page (Dot Earth) titled, Reefs in the Anthropocene Zombie Ecology? (See: http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/07/14/reefs-in-the-anthropocene-zombie-ecology/) Your assignment is to review both the original editorial and the public reaction it received. Then, write an essay of at least 1,500 words either defending or refuting the editorial authors position. Be sure to carefully cite sources and credit any quotations appropriately and in the proper format
