Performance Problem

Selected Organization and Performance Problem
This is the first component of your course project. Use the Final Project Template document linked in the Resources area and include the following elements (adapted from Van Tiem, Moseley, and Dessinger (2012):

1)  A brief introduction to describe this assignment’s purpose and content.

2)  A specific performance issue to be addressed (remember that performance is about results, not behaviors). For example, a sample performance issue or problem might read: “Phone sales reps are not meeting sales quota,” is focused on results. On the other hand, “sales rep teams are not communicating with each other,” is focused on behaviors.

3)  A work environment description, including a pseudo name for the organization and a list of the type of products or services that it offers. Describe the overall culture and provide a snapshot of the area where the performance issue exists (unit or department purpose and processes, including inputs and outputs and any major factors that may have an impact on performance).

4)  Descriptions of the performers/sponsors, describing the overall role/job of target audience for improvement; current performance results; and expected results. Also identify the leadership individual(s) who are committed to the performance improvement and who would champion the implementation.

5)  The expected benefit from performance improvement for the organization and the performer

The Green New Deal is not ethical for people or the economy

Teachers instructions;
For NEXT WEEK (Oct 5 – 11) the debate issue will be focused on The Green New Deal
This is an important topic with our upcoming presidential election in November, and our faltering economy due to Covid-19.
Be detailed in your research, and be specific with your points of pro and con, ALWAYS connecting them to ethical points.
Be sure to connect your Green New Deal position with ETHICAL REASONING and BUSINESS ETHICS.

Break-Even Analysis Paper

For this week’s assignment, we will look more into break-even analysis as an important part of your fiscal education.

Please select an item or product used in your healthcare organization and describe how you would calculate the break-even point. For example, this could be:

The use of a sterile instrument tray,
An admission/registration software product,
Outsourced transcription, or
Even a new EMR.
In a 2-page paper, discuss why this break-even information is useful and create a graph showing your break-even point.

Physical Therapy Personal Statement

Every person has a story that has led them to a career. Since there are a variety of health professions that “help” others, please go beyond your initial interaction or experience with physical therapy, and share the deeper story that has confirmed your decision to specifically pursue physical therapy as your career.

4500 characters max

We can discuss more personal experiences.

Queer family

Feminist theorists tend to view the family as a site for the reproduction of traditional gender norms and male domination. However, today a number of feminist sociologists are looking at the family as a site for transforming gender inequality. Drawing on course material, first identify empirical evidence that demonstrates some ways that queer families (or families engaging in queering) upset gender roles and/or patriarchy. Then, discuss whether you agree or disagree with the following viewpoint: The family is one of the key sites for transforming gender inequality in our society. Whichever argument you make; you MUST draw on course material in some way for support.

Minimun wage

Some states and cities have or have plans to raise the minimum wages to $15/hour.  In July, the House of Representatives passed legislation to raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hour. There also have been many protests (especially in the fast food industry) over the past 2 years about setting a $15 minimum wage. Amazon has raised its minimum wage to $15, Target plans to have a $15 starting wage by 2020, WalMart is working toward $15, and Senator Sanders (Vermont) has been pressuring companies to raise their minimum wages to $15/hour. Discuss and analyze the economic implications about this topic. How does the political aspect of the debate affect the economic analysis?
