Writing a negative email

PROJECT #2, PART A: Writing a Negative Email Message.

EACH STUDENT should upload Part A of Project 2 to Canvas by 11:00am, Tuesday Oct. 13. (50 points/individual assignment) NOTE: This assignment has been modified and is not exactly the same as the assignment described in the Weekly Schedule.

You are the Manager of Sunshine Data and you asked your assistant, Matt Adore, to write the first draft of an email to all employees, requesting them to cut down on automobile use.  Your company will be fined if this is not done.  You are dismayed by the email that Matt has written.

You now need to write an email to Matt, asking him to rewrite his email to all employees and giving him helpful suggestions on how to do so.
Your email to Matt should be tactful and encouraging, while helping Matt to write more effective negative messages.
Make sure to suggest helpful strategies for writing negative message.
Emphasize appropriate business-writing style.
Review Ch. 9 of the textbook, as well as the Video and PowerPoint on Writing Negative Messages. Both are now posted on Canvas in Week 8.

Research a situation in which a breach in research ethics occurred

Research a situation in which a breach in research ethics occurred. Describe the error and evaluate the rules and regulations that were broken. How could this situation be remedied to ensure researchers respect their obligations to participants in future research? What regulations or protocols in place in Saudi Arabia could have prevented this situation from occurring?

Validity of Polygraph Tests/Deception Cues

Hi future writer,
I’ve already selected all 5 empirical articles for the annotated bibliography, all that needs to be done to these articles is:
-properly APA cited
-organized by topic, NOT alphabetical order.
-a very brief description of the article’s topic.
This summary should only make up about 25% of the bibliography.
***The rest of the bibliography should be 1. identifying a sampling issue 2. identifying a methodological problem 3. identifying a gap in the literature.***
I know the description says 3 pages, but like any other annotated bibliography please put each article on a new page. I selected this option because of the word count it entails!

There are a variety of factors that can affect the overall performance rating of an individual. Aguinis (2019) defined two methodsjudgmental and mechanicalfor reaching an overall score, and states that the mechanical approach is preferable in most cases, particularly if performance objectives are not weighted.

Review Case Study 6-1: Judgmental and Mechanical Methods of Assigning Overall Performance Score at The Daily Planet at the end of Chapter 6 in the Performance Management textbook.

First use the judgmental method to come up with Kuhns overall performance score. Next, compute Kuhns overall performance score using the weights in the table.

Is there a difference in the scores? What are the implications for the employee rated, for the supervisor, and for the organization? Which method would you use and why?

In developing your initial response, be sure to draw from, explore, and cite credible reference materials.

Any topic (writer’s choice)

Given how much more effective distributed practice is over massed practice, why is it many students are still inclined to cram” before a big exam?  Are past experiences more powerful than scientific data? Discuss why it is difficult to change behavior? (This may be a good opportunity to apply the operant conditioning principles discussed in the learning chapter.)

InClass Exercises: There will be two (2) inclass group exercises during the semester. Each of the exercises will require a followup written report to be submitted as an individual assignment by each student. Each paper should include an executive summary of project management process, tool, model and/or core content area that the exercise was about. The discussion within the paper must focus on the relevance of the topic to the management of the project. The length of each paper must not exceed two (2) pages. A template and guidelines will be provided for use in developing the paper(s.)
