Reflection on Teaching Practices

Reflection on Teaching Practices
2020 Cohort
This assignment will be completed with 4 field experience videos. You will complete a separate template
for each assignment.
Directions:
1. Select a video.
2. Complete the information on both your school and the class watched.
3. Watch the video. Take notes as you watch on good teaching practices, such as (but not
limited to) use of assessment to drive instruction (including Checks for Understanding),
effective use of technology (student and teacher), differentiated instruction (meeting the
needs of varied learners), etc. You may need to watch the video more than once.
4. Use the template to document the demographic information and describe (500 750 words)
how the teacher implemented each practice in his/her instruction. What process and
procedures did the teacher have to put into place in order for the practice to be effective?
Refer to research to support your observation*. Your response should be written in
paragraph form using professional language, appropriate grammar, and correct spelling.
5. Self-assess your reflection using the Reflection on Teaching Practices Rubric (located on
the last page of the template).
6. Share the completed template with your Mentor for feedback.
7. Upload the completed template into itslearning.
*Note: It is not necessary to quote directly from research. You should be able to link the effective
teaching practices back to a researcher. For example, The teacher had his students use a 3-column table
to organize their ideas while watching the video. The 3-column table was a graphic organizer which
provided scaffolding for the students. The use of graphic organizers (nonlinguistic representations) is
one of Robert Marzanos 9 instructional strategies. .

There is a video you have to watch that goes with this assignment.  I am trying to download it.  I did a screen recording of it on my phone but do not know how to send it keeps telling me the file is too large.  I will give the website and login information to view video. It is saved in my favorite videos

discover the intersection between physiology across cultures and what links the two together

I have composed a Research Proposal, which was submitted a few weeks back. The actual project is due tomorrow and I have a huge test that I’ve been studying for which has resulted in the procrastination of this assignment. I have included my research proposal, the research paper outline/rubric, and my sources to use for this paper. Please incorporate my main points into this research paper all while representing the correlation between physiology and the culture I chose, and use my sources as well.

Beginning in the late 15th century, European Kings and Queens began sponsoring voyages in search of quicker over-seas trade routes to Asia. While most of these voyages did not ultimately lead to the discovery of over-seas trade routes, the discoveries that were made had a profound and lasting impact on the world. At a similar time in history, east Asian nations, such as China and Japan, were doing the opposite and effectively killing their expansionist policies and choosing to withdraw into foreign policies of relative isolation.

What factors drove European nations to explore and expand? What factors led east Asian nations to seek policies of relative isolation at the same time as European exploration and expansion?

How do the discoveries of the European explorers continue to impact the western world today? (What impact did the discoveries of European explorers have on North and South America?)

module 5

Have you ever created an emergent curriculum or wondered what it would be like? Consider the following questions as you share your experiences and/or ideas about emergent curriculum:

Have you ever designed an emergent curriculum for young children? If so, describe the process.
Think about an individual child or a group of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or school age students that you know and/or have worked with.
Identify something (a topic, skill, concept, idea, experience) that the child(ren) are passionate about, interested in, or engaged with.
How you could turn the child(rens) interest(s) into an emergent curriculum theme?

Here is an example: Johnny loves dinosaurs and talks about them every day. He draws dinosaurs, reads books about dinosaurs, and chooses the classroom bin of dinosaurs every chance he gets. To build on his interest his classroom teacher plans a unit of study to help Johnny and other interested classmates learn about dinosaurs and their natural habitats.

I work with kids on the autism  spectrum so you can base the paper on that.
