Earlier in the course we discussed licensing professionals and suspension or revocation of such licenses as sanctions to white collar criminal activities.  While building trades are viewed a blue collar jobs, Since it is often viewed in a white collar context, this article should shed some light.

For this assignment, you will be presented with three issues. Please respond to all three issues in one cohesive essay, and use APA Level I headings to differentiate between the three issues.

Issues

1) Consult the Issues and Cautions in Studying UCR Data found on page 30 of the textbook, and identify the weakest and the strongest elements of the 11 shortcomings presented using analyses and arguments supported by reliable sources. In your analysis, differentiate between methods of criminological research, and describe how the shortcomings detailed on page 30 could be avoided. 

2) Describe a behavior that may be interpreted as criminal and non-criminal with analyses and arguments for each conclusion.  

3) Search online Library, and locate one peer-review article on victimology in a court setting. Summarize the research you find, and provide your opinions opposing and supporting the actions of the court. 

Your essay must be at least two pages, and it should be formatted in APA style. Your response should have an introduction and conclusion section. Academically accepted resources must be used to support your analyses. Any information from these sources should be cited and referenced in APA format. You only need one reference page for all sections; include the references for all sections on that page(s).

This unit involves the subject of the classifying criminal offenses, such as what is to be considered a felony, which can vary from state to state jurisdictions.  In this unit, you learned that a felony conviction could cause a person to lose certain civil rights, like the right to vote.  Do you think the loss of this civil right because of being convicted of a crime, which is classified as a felony is fair? Why or why not? (A Minimum of 125 Words or More)

In this unit, you have learned about the distinctions between felony and misdemeanor crimes. For this assignment, imagine that you have been tasked with preparing a PowerPoint presentation about this topic to be used as a briefing backup for criminal justice personnel in your jurisdiction. In your presentation, you should do the following: 

1) Contrast felony and misdemeanor crimes; 

2) Describe methods for classifying felonies in your jurisdiction; 

3) Describe methods for classifying misdemeanors in your jurisdiction; and 

4) Identify procedures for filing motions to dismiss and expunge criminal convictions. 

Your presentation will be evaluated using the following elements:

According to the text, there are nearly 900,000 suicides in a year in the world. The truth of the matter is that this number is probably much higher due to underreported instances of intentional death. As a result of technology, a new trend in suicide is death due to cyberbullying. For this case study, use the Internet and/or the Strayer library to identify, research, and explore a suicide as a result of cyberbullying, physical bullying, and/or body shaming that has occurred within the last three years. 

Write a 3- to 5-page paper in which you address the following thoroughly. Cite specifics from the case to support your arguments: 

1. Examine three elements of cyberbullying, physical bullying, and/or body shaming and then determine whether or not the defendant(s) should be charged with a cyberbullying, physical bullying, and/or body shaming crime. Provide a rationale to support your position.  
2. Based on what you learned about the relationship between suicide and depression from the text, support or refute the following statement: People who die by suicide are usually experiencing undiagnosed depression. Support your opinion.  
3. Analyze the significance of why suicide is becoming a more prevalent area of interest due to the wide use of social media. Next, debate whether or not suicide will remain a focal point or receive the notoriety necessary for agencies to continue working to get support for individuals who are considering suicide. Provide a rationale to support your response.  
4. The text states that suicide rates vary around the world. Based on the text, propose two possible causes for the differences around the world. Next, give your opinion as to whether suicide should be considered a deviant behavior and examine the ramifications. Justify your response. 
5. Use at least three quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar types of websites do not qualify as academic resources.

• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references should follow the . Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

General guidelines: For this paper, you must use the Orend textbook and at least three other sources, and to cite/reference those sources appropriately (heavy deductions will be taken from papers that dont use appropriate class sources). Please make sure to research your topic before diving into it. Also, include a Works Cited page. The paper should be about 4-5 pages long. For each topic, you are an advisor to the President of the United States and you are providing him/her with an analysis/paper/memo explaining what is going on and proposing a course of action. The four sections should cover:

2. How does Realism explain the situation and what does Realism predict will happen? What would a Realist propose America should do? (Here you might want to briefly describe Realism).
3. How does Idealism shed light on the situation and what does Idealism predict will happen? What would an Idealist propose for the United States to do? (Here you might want to briefly describe Idealism).
4. Your personal conclusion about what the President/the United States should do (based on your educated opinion drawn from the above sections).

Here are the topics you can choose (CHOOSE ONE and write four sections on it):

1. Nuclear proliferation, i.e. more and more countries getting nuclear weapons (you can focus on Iran or North Korea or Russias nukes if you please)
2. The Islamic State/ISIS
3. A political crisis in any specific country of your choice (e.g., gang violence in El Salvador, terrorism in France, Rohingya refugee crisis, etc.). If you choose this one specify the crisis.
4. Climate change/global warming/environmental issues
5. Illegal migration into the United States
6. The war in Syria
7. Russias foreign policy (this could involve Ukraine, US, Syria, etc.)
8. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict
9. The political situation in Tibet

Note that with all of these, America has an existing strategy/policy/course of action. You may want to summarize that policy in the first section of your paper. Regardless of the policy, write what a Realist and Idealist would do in sections two and three, and then propose your own solution in section four (which can be the existing policy, the Realist policy, the Idealist policy, or something else).

Wallace-Wells conveys a theory that our present wealth is based primarily on burning fossil fuels. We have grown accustomed to living in such a wealthy society. What aspects of our society would need to change to avert the worst-case climate scenarios? How might we achieve those changes politically, socially, economically and/or through technology?

There are gender differences in communication styles. Men and women don’t understand each other for the most part, which leads to misunderstandings and conflict. Arguments occur between a man and a woman or husband and wife because of different communication styles.

When the wife or girl asks the husband or the boy to do something or not to do something, the husband or boy may hear that in a different light. For example, the wife can say the trash needs to be taken out. This means that the wife wants the husband to take out the trash. What do you think that the husband will interpret it?
