Guidelines:  The answer should be based on the knowledge obtained from reading the book, no just your opinion. All the theories (corresponding chapter in textbook) should be mentioned and explained (mention at least three). Your grade will be an average of all theories.

1. In order to write a case study paper, you must carefully address a number of sections in a specific order with specific information contained in each. The guideline below outlines each of those sections.
2. Introduction (patient and problem)
3. Explain who the patient is (Age, gender, etc.)
4. Explain what the problem is (What was he/she diagnosed with, or what happened?)
5. Introduce your main argument (What should you as a nurse focus on or do?)
6. Pathophysiology
7. Explain the disease (What are the symptoms? What causes it?)
8. History
9. Explain what health problems the patient has (Has she/he been diagnosed with other diseases?)
10. Detail any and all previous treatments (Has she/he had any prior surgeries or is he/she on medication?)
11. Nursing Physical Assessment
12. List all the patients health stats in sentences with specific numbers/levels (Blood pressure, bowel sounds, ambulation, etc.)
13. Related Treatments
14. Explain what treatments the patient is receiving because of his/her disease
15. Nursing Diagnosis & Patient Goal
16. Explain what your nursing diagnosis is (What is the main problem for this patient? What need to be addressed?)
17. Explain what your goal is for helping the patient recover (What do you want to change for the patient?)
18. Nursing Interventions
19. Explain how you will accomplish your nursing goals, and support this with citations (Reference the literature)
20. Evaluation
21. Explain how effective the nursing intervention was (What happened after your nursing intervention? Did the patient get better?)
22. Recommendations
23. Explain what the patient or nurse should do in the future to continue recovery/improvement
24. Your paper should be 3-4 pages in length and will be graded on how well you complete each of the above sections. You will also be graded on your use of APA style and on your application of nursing journals into the treatments and interventions. For integrating nursing journals, remember the following:
25. Make sure to integrate citations into all of your paper
26. Support all claims of what the disease is, why it occurs and how to treat it with references to the literature on this disease

After reading this weeks assigned chapters, think about your nursing philosophy. In your own words, discuss your philosophy of nursing. Reflect on the definition of the four concepts of the nursing meta-paradigm. Write your own definition for each concept of the meta-paradigm of nursing. Which concept would you add to the meta-paradigm of nursing and why? Which concept would you eliminate and why?

Your paper should be 12 pages in length, in APA format, typed in Times New Roman with 12-point font, and double-spaced with 1″ margins. Cite at least one outside source using APA format.
