Politics Research Proposal

The assignment is a research proposal.
This is a research methods in politics class.
I must formulate my own research question. IT MUST BE A POLITICAL QUESTION. It should be creative and original, not repetitive and commonly spoken about it. Please look at the sample research proposals to get an idea of what the research topic should be about. PLEASE DO NOT repeat any of the topics used in the samples, it must be creative.
I must design an academic research project that could address this question

It is a 2,500 word essay. The word count includes in text references and footnotes but not the bibliography.
50% of overall grade

I have attached a detailed description of the assignment. Please adhere to it carefully.

I have attached lecture slides and notes. PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON THE LECTURE SLIDES AND NOTES as they are NOT MY WORDS, they are not paraphrased, and they are just an overview of research design and methods. The lecture slides will help in the formulation of the research question, the theoretical framework and hypothesis, as well as every step in the research design.

I have attached readings that correspond to each lecture. The readings will help you justify the decisions made in the research design. When you characterise the research method(s) that your project would use, you should set out what this method is about, using the (module) literature on the topic. When you choose a topic and form the research question, you should then look at literature about the chosen topic (not attached) and make references to the work of other people who have addressed similar questions (and whose work you may build on).

I have attached four sample research proposals from previous students. This is the standard that my essay must meet. The assignment is worth 50% of my grade so please make sure it meets the standard of the sample essays. (PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY IDEAS FROM THE SAMPLE ESSAYS, I have just attached them so you can get an idea of what my essay should look like).

I have attached a list of recommended readings about mixed methods research

essay (Government and Health care) with **PLAGARISM CHECK FORM**

An important purpose of this assignment is to examine what the different branches and layers of government do to address a policy using a current issue to illustrate it.

Complete a research essay on the government and healthcare. Remember this is being written for the president to read.

The U.S. healthcare system has been a controversial topic for decades. Here are the aspects and questions to address for this essay:

  1. Identify a current issue being debated about the American healthcare system and state a preferred solution to it and why it’s preferred (This is your thesis statement).
  2. Explain two competing solutions to this problem while addressing the responsibilities of each level of government (federal, state, and local) and the three branches of the federal government (executive, legislative, and judicial).
  3. Build the argument for why your chosen solution is preferable, what critics say about the solution, and finally why the critics are wrong.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 750 word target length (about three pages), not including references listed at the end or footnotes if used.
  • Incorporation of concepts and terms from the required readings.
  • Inclusion of facts from a recent news article about the topic/solution.
  • Correct spelling, grammar, and formatting, whether it’s APA, MLA, or Chicago/Turabian.
  • See the essay rubric for further details on grading.

Writing tips:

1) Write concisely! More is not necessarily better if the required points from the rubric are missed.

2) Essays should be written in the third person perspective. (Avoid using “I, me, my, mine, we, us, our, you, your”).

Discuss a Website Representation of Your Topic Case Study

Refer to the film or website you identified in Module 2 about the topic you have chosen for your Portfolio Project. Paper should be 2 pages. Respond to the following:

  1. Summarize the website and describe the important information presented.
  2. Does this website depict your topic accurately?
  3. How does the information you find in the website compare to the information you have read in your textbook and discovered through your portfolio research?

Slowing Down Global Warming

As Hite and Seitz (2016) discuss in Chapter 5: Climate Change, reputable scientific studies continue to show that the Earth is warming at an unsustainable rate because of a rise in the release of CO2 and methane gases.

What is the relationship between population increases and climate change? Do you think fertility control is an effective strategy to halt climate change? Why or why not?
