Mythbusters and Null Hypotheses

One of the funniest episodes of the Mythbusters is also one that is full of different experiments and hypothesis testing examples. Adam and Jaime try 4 different techniques for sobering up and make conclusions either busted (i.e., fail to reject the null) or plausible (i.e., reject the null) about each. Do you agree with their conclusions? Which ones do you agree with? Why do you agree or disagree?

Alterations in Renal and Musculoskeletal System (Pathophysiology)

A 30 year old woman recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), complains of general fatigue and weight loss along with symmetric joint welling, stiffness, and pain.  The stiffness is more prominent in the morning and subsides during the day.  Laboratory measures reveal an Rheumatoid Factor (RF) of 120 IU/ml

Range for RF (nonreactive, 0 to 39 IU/mL; weakly reactive, 40 to 79 IU/ml; reactive, > 80 IU/ml).

Q1. Describe the immunopathogenesis of the joint changes that occur in RA.

Q2.  What is the significance of her RF test results?

Q3. How do her complaints of general fatigue and weight loss related to the RA disease process?

*Peer-reviewed journals for citations and references ONLY*

Briefly present an organization and summarize some problem/issue/challenge that the organization seeks to address using evidence to support their description.

Next analyze how dynamics of power, privilege, and oppression create, support, or inhibit the resolution of the challenge. This will entail identifying factors internal and external to the organization (staff, service users, limited resources, municipal policies, etc.) that contribute to the issue.

Then identify the role of the social worker as a change agent in addressing this challenge and identify the organizations readiness to change, which includes specifying existing (internal and external) barriers and supports.

Then identify three possible alternative change interventions and explain which of these they consider to be the optimal choice. They must justify this choice using the social work values of social, economic, and environmental justice.

Then provide an evaluation strategy to assess the effectiveness of the intervention.

All citations and references must be written in APA style.  Use below text as needed.

Workplace Environment Assess.

Clearly, diagnosis is a critical aspect of healthcare. However, the ultimate purpose of a diagnosis is the development and application of a series of treatments or protocols. Isolated recognition of a health issue does little to resolve it.

In this modules Discussion, you applied the Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory to diagnose potential problems with the civility of your organization. In this Portfolio Assignment, you will continue to analyze the results and apply published research to the development of a proposed treatment for any issues uncovered by the assessment.

To Prepare:

Review the Resources and examine the Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory, found on page 20 of Clark (2015).
Review the Work Environment Assessment Template.
Reflect on the output of your Discussion post regarding your evaluation of workplace civility and the feedback received from colleagues.
Select and review one or more of the following articles found in the Resources:
Clark, Olender, Cardoni, and Kenski (2011)
Clark (2018)
Clark (2015)
Griffin and Clark (2014)=====( I chose Clark 2015 & 2018)

The Assignment (6 pages total):

Part 1: Work Environment Assessment (2 pages)

Review the Work Environment Assessment Template you completed for this Modules Discussion.
Describe the results of the Work Environment Assessment you completed on your workplace.
Identify two things that surprised you about the results and one idea you believed prior to conducting the Assessment that was confirmed.
Explain what the results of the Assessment suggest about the health and civility of your workplace.
Part 2: Reviewing the Literature (2 pages)

Briefly describe the theory or concept presented in the article(s) you selected.
Explain how the theory or concept presented in the article(s) relates to the results of your Work Environment Assessment.
