Analyze how the Utility Theory can help you determine pricing as you make changes to the companies pricing strategies.
Evaluate what information is needed to assess the companys cost and revenue relationship.  What does this information tell you about the company?
Explain the impact supply and demand has on the companys pricing strategy.

business

Many factors affect the demand for a product, which is a concern for management and the decision-making process. To correctly assess the demand for their products, managers must determine the effect of all relevant variables. Select a particular industry or product and define the following variables:
    Inferior versus normal goods
    Substitution and income effects
    Derived demand
Changes in real and projected incomes
Discuss how these variables can affect the demand for your product or industry and what methods could be used to estimate the effect of these variables

business

You are an economist for the Vanda-Laye Corporation, which produces and distributes outdoor cooking supplies. The company has come under new ownership and management and will be undergoing changes in its product lines and operating structure. As an economist, your responsibilities include examining the market factors that affect success or failure of a product, including the supply and demand for the product, market conditions, and the behavior of competitors with similar products.

Your supervisor, Jorge, has assigned you the task of evaluating a new product. The new product, oven mittens, has several competitors in the marketplace, but your company will be using a new patented material that provides protection from heat and maintains a great deal of flexibility.

Tasks:
Analyze the goals of the company.  What is an operating structure and how can changes affect a company?
Evaluate what information is needed to assess the market factors that will make this product a success of failure.
Explain the basic supply and demand aspects that will make the product a success or failure.

Designing the Intervention & Planning for Implementation

HW 425 Unit 7 Assignment: Designing the Intervention & Planning for Implementation

Course Outcome addressed in this Assignment:

HW425-4: Design health and wellness programming for a multi-cultural and economically diverse population in a community- based setting.

Unit Outcomes addressed in this Assignment:

Describe common theories and models of health behavior.
Apply theory to develop program activities.
Create a program logic model.
Discuss the importance of tailoring program activities.
Develop a plan to implement health promotion programming.
Describe factors that influence the adoption and implementation of health promotion programs.
Background:  In your previous assignments, you addressed several steps of the general planning process in developing a community-based health promotion program. Specifically, you assessed the health needs of the community, chose a health focus and a target population to serve, developed the program mission, goals, and objectives, and considered funding, budgets, and administrative tasks. The next steps in the planning process are designing the intervention and planning for program implementation.

In order to plan an appropriate and effective intervention, you need to choose a suitable theory or model of health behavior and design program activities according to its constructs. You will also need to think about how the activities you create can be tailored to your specific target population. Once youve developed program activities, you can also complete a program logic model that shows the intended and expected relationships between program components and the intended outcomes. A logic model is useful as a planning tool, an implementation guide, and an evaluation resource. In this assignment, you will complete a basic logic model that represents the components of your program.

Finally, once the intervention has been designed and the program components are clear, it is time to plan for program implementation. Even the most well-planned program will never be effective in achieving the intended outcomes if it is not implemented. Many health promotion programs are not implemented directly by those who plan them, rather they must be implemented by those in a position to reach the target population. In addition, those in a position to implement the program may not be the decision-makers responsible for choosing to adopt a program. To plan for program implementation, you must determine who will adopt and implement the program, explore any potential barriers to adoption, and establish the expected program implementation tasks.

Instructions:

In this Assignment, you will: choose a theory or model of health behavior to guide the creation of program activities, justify your choice, create program activities, create a program logic model, and develop a program implementation plan.

Your Assignment should be approximately 34 pages in length, written in primarily essay format and include appropriate supporting citations and references in APA format. Address the following topics:

Write an introduction that describes why theory is useful and important in the design of health promotion interventions. (12 paragraphs)
Choose a theory or model of health behavior to guide the creation of program activities from this list: Health Belief Model, Theory of Reasoned Action, Theory of Planned Behavior, Transtheoretical Model/Stages of Change, Social Cognitive Theory, Social Ecological Model.
Explain why you selected this theory or model. Your explanation should include: (34 paragraphs)
a brief overview of the theory/model including its major constructs,
a discussion of why it is appropriate for your program purpose and target population,
evidence of this theorys/models suitability for your program.
Create at least 1 program activity based on each construct of the theory or model you chose. Explain which program objective(s) is supported by each activity. Make sure you have at least one program activity to support each objective. (24 paragraphs)
Explain what is meant by tailoring program activities and describe steps you will take to tailor your activities to the target population. (12 paragraphs)
Create a program logic model and write 12 paragraphs explaining your logic model. You may create your own model or use the template provided in Course Documents.
Develop a program implementation plan that: (34 paragraphs)
describes who will adopt the program,
identifies potential barriers to program adoption and offers strategies to address barriers
describes who will implement the program,
identifies potential barriers to program implementation and offers strategies to address barriers, and
establishes the expected program implementation tasks and timeline.
Write a summarizing conclusion. (1 paragraph)

business

Spending by the consumer sector is the driving force in the US economic system. Although the business and government sectors make a considerable contribution to the success of the economy, it is the spending by the consumer or household sector of the economy that determines prosperity or recession in the economy.

Do you agree or disagree with this argument? Why or why not?
How has the spending behavior of the government sector changed over the past decade, and what effect had these changes had on the economy?

This assignment will be submitted to Turnitin.
Instructions
This week’s assignment is a culmination of work completed in Week 4 and Week 6. More specifically, you will be creating an abstract and introduction for this research.

Introduction: What is it?

As with any type of writing, the introduction has a number of responsibilities. Initially and globally, it needs to capture the attention of your reader so that the reader feels invested in taking the time to read what you have compiled. More specifically, the introduction must sufficiently “set up” the paper. Further suggestions for the introduction are noted below:

Provide background information so that your reader has enough “knowledge” to understand what will be discussed in the paper.
Provide a general overview of what will be discussed in the paper.
Provide information on how your paper will advance new knowledge, new insights, etc.
Provide a clear and complete purpose statement or hypothesis. The determination between purpose statement and hypothesis is dependent upon the type of research you are doing. When actually conducting a research investigation, as you will likely do later in your program, you would include your hypothesis/hypotheses. For the purpose of this assignment, either will be acceptable (i.e., as long as it has been appropriately introduced).
Abstract: What is it?

Unlike the introduction that provides a preview of what will be discussed, the abstract summarizes the key points that are discussed within the paper narrative. As such, the abstract is typically the last thing you would construct. It is necessary to include summative information on the key points regarding purpose, methods, scope, results, conclusions, and recommendations.

Requirements

Drawing upon the research you completed in Week 4 and Week 6, you are to write an introduction and an abstract. There is no need to obtain new research.

When crafting the introduction, take the position that you would be writing the actual research paper. In this way, the introduction will adequately prepare the reader for what would be discussed if you were also completing the entire research paper.

The abstract and introduction should be submitted as a Word document and include the following: (a) title page, (b) abstract (1-page, 150-250 words), (c) introduction (2-3 pages), and (c) reference list.

Ethical Rights & Duties Discussion

Overview:
Employees certainly have legal rights, such as the right to be paid a minimum wage, to enjoy equal opportunity in the workplace, and to be free from sexual harassment. Many employees also have contractual rights, such as the right to an employer contribution to a retirement plan, health care, or a certain number of vacation and sick days. But do employees really have moral and ethical rights against their employer that are not specified in the law or in the employment contract? Do employers have duties to their employees other than what is required by law and the employment contract?

Action Items
1. If every human has a right to healthcare, do employers have a moral and ethical duty to provide health insurance for every employee? Why? What influences in your life contributed to your answer?
2. Do employers have a duty to provide a just wage? Why? What influences in your life contributed to your answer?
3. Do employers have a duty to respect employees right to privacy? Why? What influences in your life contributed to your answer?
