Literature Review This week you will expand your week 3 assignment by adding more sources and evaluating each source to develop a literature review.

1.Collect, organize, analyze, and critique 15 + peer-reviewed research articles that are related to a topic area and problem statement.

2.Write an introduction to your topic and the overall problem you are addressing.

3.Write a literature review.

4.Conclude your literature review with a summary of the gaps in the Literature and how this aligns with your research area of interest.

5.Your writing should follow the standards established in the course and in-text and end-of-text references should follow the APA style manual format.

Brief Report APA format

Using your outline from week 1 as a guide, submit a minimum of 5 pages of the research you have completed on your topic to date. You should have an introduction and the beginning of a Literature Review for this assignment.  You must include a Cover Page, and a list of References (not included in a 5-page count).

Instructions
Prepare a presentation of the research paper submitted in week 6. You are not just copying and pasting from the week 6 research paper. Slides are to be written with bullet-type statements not longer than two-sentence, not paragraphs are used on slides. If you have any questions, either ask or look up what a PowerPoint presentation looks like.

Develop a Final Research Presentation based on your research paper from week 6. Incorporate additional authoritative resources from the APUS Library as needed.

Length: Minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 PowerPoint slides. Title slides that have the same information as a title page does, then you have your content slides, conclusion slide, and reference slide. Your slide needs to have in-text citations for each point that is used not at the end of the slide.

Style: Professional theme. Use APA format for the citations. Use charts, diagrams, and pictures. Keep your text concise, focused, and succinct.

Supportive and Defensive Climates
In this Discussion, you examine supportive and defensive climates and their characteristics. Also consider the context in your Discussion of the interaction (for example, workplace, family, friendship, or romantic relationship). If we compare our communication climate to the weather, we can observe that some places make us feel safe to express ourselves, to grow and flourish like a warm, sunny day, while others make us feel defensive, cautious, and anxious, like a thunderstorm, in which you never really know when or where, lighting will strike. Each type of relationship has its own rules of engagement regarding verbal and nonverbal communication, and here you have an opportunity to highlight those rules, customs, and norms for behavior. Tie in concepts you have learned in previous weeks of the class as you consider interactions in each communication climate.

    Choose a relationship or experience that has contained at least one of the elements of the dark side of interpersonal communication (jealousy, rumor, envy, bullying, aggression, etc.) or how seemingly productive communication becomes dysfunctional (and vice versa). This could be a professional relationship, a family relationship, a friendship, or a romantic relationship.

Post a response that addresses the following:
1.    Describe the relationship, the emotions, and the dark side element(s) that you identified.
2.    How did these elements affect your concept of self?
3.    Evaluate the effects of the dark side elements on the relationship.
4.    Looking back, what might you have done differently in that situation?

Using past course texts, current suggested readings, and other scholarly resources, define the project selection process.

For your assignment, please address the following in a well-written paper.

Describe the project selection process.
Describe the selection criteria that should be considered and why they are important.
Describe stage gate reviews and evaluation criteria.
Describe the differences you might see between IT projects and Manufacturing Projects.
Describe two methods to support value (NPV, ROI, Payback) and assess the viability of new projects. Include why they are used, how they are calculated, and the value each adds.

Lastly, conclude with a summary to an organization that may be using your review as a guide.
