This program has a description available in the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Model Programs Guide https://www.ojjdp.gov/MPG/Topic/Details/79.
For each program, the above website provides the following types of information:

evidence base
additional references related to the program
The references for your essay should include, at a minimum:
information from the program description webpage on the Model Programs Guide
information from one of the evaluations listed under evidence base
information from one of the resources listed under additional studies.
In order to complete the assignment correctly, you need to have reviewed the above Model Programs Guide https://www.ojjdp.gov/MPG/Topic/Details/79 and at least two of the articles referenced one under evidence base and one from the additional studies. You may include additional references if you wish.
Your essay should include:
A description of the programs specific goal(s). According to the Model Programs Guide, Delinquency prevention seeks to redirect youth who are considered at-risk for delinquency or who have committed a delinquent offense from deeper involvement in the juvenile justice system. Be specific in describing how the program you are describing plans to reduce delinquency.
A description of its methods of operation. Be explicit in describing what activities constitute the program.
A summary of the evidence regarding the programs effectiveness in preventing delinquency or in reducing delinquent behavior.
Finally, you should conclude this assignment by presenting your informed assessment of the value of this program. The ultimate question you are answering in this section is whether the evidence regarding the program is strong enough to recommend its implementation. Be sure to explain why you reach your recommendation.
Please use ASA format for your essay.

PLEASE USE SMALL TERMINOLOGY
education level and awareness
Key words: 3-5 words or phrases separated by commas that capture what your paper is about
Start writing your intro, no need to write introduction as heading, just begin the paper. Spend a couple sentences introducing your topic. Often papers cite one or two key sources in introducing the topic. Make sure it grabs the reader. Then include your research question or the hypothesis you are testing. Include a line about why this topic is importantbut not just in terms of a personal value judgment; how does it help scholarship or society in a fairly non-ideological or non-sectarian way? Write a transition sentence to your literature review.
LITERATURE
You can write literature like above, or some other relevant title to indicate the beginning of the literature review. Suggestions might include Theoretical Background or a topical title like Gangs in the U.S. Then write a couple sentences that introduces the layout of the literature review. Basically tell us what sections follow and why its laid out that way. Do cite at least one item offering a key theoretical frame. Then write a transition sentence to your two to four sub-sections. Use second level heading/title format.
Sub-Title 1
You wont actually write sub-title, here you give me a title that makes sense of how you are organizing your literature review. Cite 3-5 items per section. Each section can be a paragraph minimum up to a page or so. Write a transition sentence to the next section.
Sub-Title 2
Then you do the same thing for each additional section. Three sub-sections are plenty for a paper of your length. Most of your citations will be in the literature review. You may cite items more than once, especially if they are relevant to more than one topical area of your literature review. Each section in your literature review ends with a transition sentence.
Sub-Title 3
The whole literature review should be double-spaced. Be sure to put page numbers. Avoid too many direct quotes, and only one block quote (if any). The vast majority of your citations should be paraphrased. Dont forget the page numbers on actual quotes.
Write a paragraph summing up the literature review and restating your research question.
REFERENCES
Topic: Pandemic & Public Health
Content Options: Select and use the assigned Durkheimian, Weberian, or foundational feminist theory to analyze the current pandemic and/or public health crisis. Another option is that you may pick two of these three sociological theory traditions and compare and contrast their insights when applied to the topic of pandemic and public health. Use the assigned readings and intros in the Kimmel course textbook as your only or main source for theory in this theory course. For the current topic, use credible sources (unless you’re doing a study of, say, fearmongering in social media. Such non-credible sources will be used as data, rather than credible authority.)
Here is the Sociology guide (courtesy of the Sociology librarian) on how to research and find credible sources for Sociology: https://libguides.lib.umanitoba.ca/sociology. I don’t care which professional citation style you use, though you must use it consistently; but my favorite style is ASA: https://www.asanet.org/sites/default/files/savvy/documents/teaching/pdfs/Quick_Tips_for_ASA_Style.pdf. Here is a writing guide for Sociology: https://sociology.berkeley.edu/sites/default/files/documents/student_services/writing_guide/Writing for Sociology Guide Second Edition.pdf You will be graded on your writing (in the paper option) and logic quality, your proper use of and literacy with the assigned sociological theory, and your sociological approach to the topic.

Literature Review Instructions
SOC 3000
Dr. A. Reiter
For this final literature review, you should follow the format of the outline you have already completed. Make sure it has been approved! Refer to the literature review outline guidelines and your approved outline for details about what is to be included in the literature review.
Details about requirements for each section are below.
I. Introduction: See outline guidelines for components.
Approximate length: about -1 page, double-spaced.
II. Body: Using relevant headings, the body should be composed of sections. Each section covers a concept. Your outline should include subthemes for each concept- these subthemes should be included in each section, but no need to make them separate subsections.
Dont forget to introduce and close each section with a sentence focused on the literature (topic sentence and concluding sentence).
Length of body: about 4-6 pages, double-spaced. (Length of each section will vary, but each section typically contains several paragraphs.)
III. Conclusion: Summarize what the literature says about your topic. Identify gaps in the research and make suggestions for studies that would improve our understanding of the issue. You can also include policy implications.
Approximate length: about -1 page, double-spaced.
Other Paper Guidelines:
Cover Page: You will need a cover page with your name, the course name, and the topic of your literature review.
ASA Reference and Citations: You will also need to include a reference page, as you need to use citations for any sources you use. You must use ASA format for your citations; refer to the guidelines in Canvas, and the practice worksheets we have completed.
Paper Requirements: The paper itself must be 5-8 pages (NOT counting the cover page and reference page), double-spaced, using 12-point font. You should have at least 5 (valid, academic) sources. Use normal margins (1 all around). Begin the paper near the top of the first page DO NOT space down several times. Only the title of the paper and your name are necessary on the first page of the paper before you begin the actual paper.
You will lose points for failure to comply with these guidelines.
Make sure you:
Dont use contractions in the paper.
Dont write in first or second person.
Use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling in the paper.
Due Dates:

You have all semester to work on this, so there are no excuses for late papers.
Cyberbullying
Attached is an assignment called the Media Analysis Assignment. This is a class for Childhood Sociology.
The object of the assignment to pick a piece of media and follow the instructions. I already did one of these and I attached it as an example (Tyson Dias Media Assignment1) so you can see exactly how it needs to be formatted. I received a 22/25 on this so I was in the ball park as far as what the expectations were. You can retrieve the article I used for that one from my references so you can kinda see how I tackled the assignment based off of the Media I selected for the first assignment.
I would say follow the same format in the example. I asked why I didn’t get the A and she wanted a little more content in the analysis section. Feel free to write in first person if needed and how you feel where appropriate.
Here is the article we will be using.
https://resources.uknowkids.com/blog/bid/302867/the-educational-impact-of-bullying-and-cyberbullying
The claims makers are the author and the Website.
Where appropriate please try to incorporate words like socialization, symbolic interactionalism, habitus, structuration. These are concepts we learned in class by reading the 2nd chapter of a book called Studies in Childhood and Youth – Socialising Children by Allison James. If you can access this book some how it would be great if you could incorporate some of these terms into the paper and use it as an extra reference.
