Response and analysis

The following are the instructions for the paper:

Read EITHER the book “In Order to Live by Yeonmi Park ” OR “Girl with seven names by Hyeon-Seo Lee”. You only need to buy one of them, its up to you to choose.

Come up with your own analysis on the defector memoir (book) based on one of the books you read above. Consider the following:

1-How do these Memoirs portray life in north korea?
2-What are the political implications of representing north korea in such a away?
3-Might the authors have personal or political motivations in their writings?
4-Do you think they give balanced, comprehensive insight into the nation?
Dont answer the questions one by one, the style should be the same as an essay. Instead, Incorporate the questions into your analysis.

The goal is basically to demonstrate understanding of the memoir you chose and an understanding of north koreas history and culture. While also incorporating knowledge of the relationship between state and society in north Korea.
